PIMPRI CHINCHWAD: The Khadki Cantonment Boardwill install 50 more closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in its limits for security and safety purposes.
With this, the number of CCTV cameras installed in the Khadki cantonment limits will rise to 110.

Amol Jagtap, chief executive officer,
KCB, said, “We plan to install CCTV cameras at busy and sensitive spots to enhance safety and security in the area. A survey will be conducted to identify such spots in the cantonment limits.”

The KCB will need three months to complete the survey and the tender process, following which the cameras will be installed. “We expect the cameras’ installation work to be completed in six months from now,” Jagtap said.

He said, “We will have a provision for watching the footage at the CEO’s office too apart from the Khadki police station. The footage at the CEO office can be used for various administrative purposes later.”
